I presented at the 2008 Interactive Marketing Summit on behalf of my employer Shift in May of this year.

In this presentation I explored what makes a good good marketer in the digital age. I explored the historical eras of marketing and draw parallels between digital marketing and the resurgence of farmer’s markets in cities globally in the past decade.. I created a character, “farmer 2.0″ who personified the best characteristics of a successful marketer and took the audience through tips and examples. I wove a personal thread through the presentation detailing how I created a piece of craft using an online craft fabrication service used this as a case study of best practice. The presentation ended with every member of the audience receiving a key ring I had fabricated with the “farmer 2.0″ on it to remind them of the advice.

Sunday at the Markets SlideIf you’re interested in this presentation I can supply slides and speaker notes. And if you’re interested in having me present it again then get in touch.
