I spend a lot of time presenting. Luckily I enjoy it. Both directly as part of my work role, but also in a more general capacity at conferences.
More details on my presenting style and availability are below.
Presenting Style
Thomas typically presents on Internet related topics – addressing the cultural issues that surround new technologies – how consumers are changing their behaviour and how businesses can take advantage of this. Often undertaking ethnographic research specifically for the presentation Thomas brings topics to life with real world examples and metaphors specific to the industry and audience he is speaking to. His presentations are unique to each conference he speaks at – well tailored to the audience – and always involving a sense of delight. In recent presentations this has involved persona videos, presenting each audience member with craft and creating a website for attendees.
Presentation Options
Broadly speaking my presentations can be divided into 3 types. Big Picture where I look at industry and social movements such as interactive marketing or new media. Primers where I practically introduce topics like social networking or web 2.0. Market snapshots where I look at a vertical market such as tourism.
